Terms & Conditions
Before You Purchase
There’s an old saying: “when the student is ready, the teacher will come.” We believe you were drawn to this website for that reason.
As you explore your options here, we want to help you make the best possible choice. Every effort has been made to honestly and accurately convey the subject matter before you purchase a class. To that end, we strongly encourage you to review all course information and to view the video samples before you make a payment.
We are confident that you will find our video courses helpful, illuminating, and easy to understand. If you need help making a decision about the best class for you, please contact us. We would be happy to offer course recommendations, based on your goals and your level of writing expertise.
Course Refund Policy
Please read the section above, entitled, Before You Purchase.
Our courses are offered on our educational website, https://WriteRomanceNovelsThatSell.com. Detailed instructions for registering and logging into your course(s) can be accessed through this link.
Our marketing website is https://WriteRomanceNovels.com. No courses can be accessed on that website.
Our courses include digital, pre-recorded content. After you purchase a course (or package of courses,) you will be granted immediate access to all learning components, including videos and downloads.
Our software allows us to track student progress through every Lesson in every course. Your paid courses have an access period of 1 year, which should be sufficient time to complete a 5-hour course.
If you are dissatisfied with Lesson One, you may request a refund within 7 days of payment. If you have progressed beyond Lesson One in a single course — or in any single course within a course package — you are no longer eligible for a refund. We make this determination based on our website software, which tracks a student’s progression through the course. If you have marked Lesson 1 complete (thereby gaining full and immediate access to Lesson 2,) you are no longer eligible for a refund.
Once you request a refund, your access to the entire course (or package of courses) will be immediately revoked. Please allow 30 days to process your refund. You can request a refund by completing this form.
If you wish to log into a course after the 1-year access period has expired, you must re-purchase the course. Our software purges all course data after 1 year. If you choose to repurchase a course, you will have to start at the beginning.
Only one course refund per student is allowed during a 6-month period. Multiple refunds requested by the same student within 6 months will not be accepted. Should we notice a pattern of excessive purchases and returns, we reserve the right to remove such person(s) from our mailing list, block future purchases, and/or deny future refunds. Thank you for your understanding.
Please note: We do not issue refunds due to student error.
If you have questions about our Course Refund Policy, feel free to contact us.
Coaching Refund Policy
Coaching for Course Assignments:
By purchasing coaching, you have agreed to have your writing assignments evaluated by your instructor, which may necessitate suggestions for improvement, recommendations for revisions, and/or line edits. This practice is standard in any instructional environment, and every effort will be made to offer professional feedback in a constructive manner.
The fee for assignment-coaching has been discounted from the instructor’s normal, hourly fee for a work-in-progress (WIP.) The discounted fee is designed to cover a “reasonable” amount of email responses from your coach. If the student’s demand for feedback becomes overwhelming, argumentative, or rude, your coach has the right to end the conversation. In such cases, no refund will be issued.
If a student is dissatisfied with Lesson One, and requests a course refund, a refund for assignment-coaching will be made ONLY if the student has not yet submitted a request for feedback.
No coaching refund will be issued to a student who “forgets” to submit an assignment before completing a final quiz, or before the course’s expiration date.
No coaching refund will be issued because a student does not “like” or agree with the instructor’s professional evaluation.
Fees for assignment-coaching are not transferable to other, unfinished courses, nor are they transferrable to your WIP.
Disclaimer:
Our coaching services are designed to teach advanced storytelling skills to individuals who are fluent in the English language and who demonstrate mastery of English writing (grammar and spelling.) If your English-language skills do not meet these qualifications, we reserve the right to end the coaching arrangement in Lesson One.
Coaching for Works-in-Progress (WIP)
In general, refunds are not issued.
By purchasing coaching, you have agreed to have your manuscript evaluated by your coach, which may necessitate suggestions for improvement, recommendations for revisions, and/or line edits. This practice is standard in any instructional environment, and every effort will be made to offer professional feedback in a constructive manner.
The coaching fee is paid in advance as a “retainer fee.” A student hires the coach for a minimum of 2 hours. Additional hours may be purchased at any time.
Students have up to 6 months to engage their coach and “use up” the pre-paid time associated with the retainer fee. No refunds are issued to students due to their inactivity.
Fees for WIP-coaching are not transferable to courses; however, if time allows, you may request coaching for an additional work-in-progress.
No coaching refund will be issued because a student does not “like” or agree with the coach’s professional evaluation.
